Prerequisites
The participants are required to have detailed knowledge
of the administration of Linux systems and Linux-based
networks. Furthermore, they should be familiar with important
network services and have a basic understanding of security
and technical concepts.
What you will learn
This course provides an overview of the possible dangers
when communicating over public networks and conveys practical
know-how regarding protective measures against these dangers.
The course introduces cryptography applications and methods
(SSH, PGP, VPN, CIPE), package filtering, NAT, Masquerading,

and intrusion detection methods.
