Who Should Attend
System administrators of mixed platform networks.
Prerequisites
The participants should have experience in the installation
and configuration of Windows servers. A basic knowledge
of TCP/IP, user permissions in Linux/UNIX, and full control
of a Linux workstation installation. Furthermore,
the participants should be familiar with important network
services (e.g. NFS, NIS, SSH, print server).
What you will learn
The participants learn to integrate Linux in a Windows
network by emulating Samba server services. Linux assumes
various roles, E.G. as file and print server or as NetBIOS
(WINS) or Domain Name Server. OpenLDAP is a directory
service that enables the deployment of Linux as Primary
Domain Controller for a Windows domain.
