This course will teach you to create pages on the Internet or in basic intranet uses. Emphasis is placed on presentation style, practical design and technical issues. The introductory part of this course includes a tutorial on using browsers to ensure that the student becomes familiar with browsers starting the course.

Who Should Attend

    This course is intended for both technical and marketing professionals, as well as business people that will have a need to place documents on-line.

Prerequisites

    Some familiarity with the PC and word processing is required; Internet experience will also be beneficial. Some use of electronic mail, as well as some basic understanding of computer systems, Windows and Unix is helpful, though not necessary.

What you will learn

    There will be a demonstration using Internet explorer browser and the features and advantages of each will be explained. You will learn how to write, test and publish your own hypertext pages, using HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). You will gain experience designing forms and incorporating graphics into your presentation.
