Who Should Attend
This course is designed to prepare Microsoft systems administrators
who wish to manage Linux systems how to install, configure, and
maintain a Linux system in various workstation and server roles.
Prerequisites
Students should have a fundamental knowledge of at least one
Microsoft operating system and some familiarity with basic networking
concepts.
What you will learn
Students learn how to install and navigate a Linux system, customize the
login environment, use the vi editor, and manage files, directories and
permissions. Students will also learn how to manage shared libraries
and install applications from tarbills, as well as from proprietary
package management applications such as the Red Hat Package
Manager (RPM) and more.
